I hate them all (except the goalies)

After the last two games (well, watching the highlights of the Columbus game + watching this one in its entirety), our defense officially SUCKS.

Thank you for making both of our goalies have sucky save percentages, guys. I'm sure that Ryan and Patrick are both giving you high fives in the locker room right now. It is mind-boggling that both goalies had, statistically, awful games, but in reality, both did not play badly at all. In fact, Miller was simply excellent tonight. And you'd never know it if you didn't watch the game. That should never happen. The goalie should never play superbly for an entire game and still have a crappy, sub-.850 save percentage. Never.

I am just livid right now. Playing fifty-two minutes of excellent hockey does not make up for leaving your goaltender to fend for himself in the final eight. But, you know what? The arrogant children are going to think that it does, and they're not going to care about this game, and they're only going to look at the fact that they played so well for so long and not at the fact that they blew it when it mattered most, and they're going to get complacent. Again. As usual.

What do you even say after a game like that? What do you say?

I think it will be a quiet plane ride home as Lindy ponders calling up the entire Pirate's roster.

So loved the ball knock Staal got from Millsie! WHOO HOO! You go boy!

Ryan is either crying on Lalime's shoulder or he is having a temper tantrum and punching holes into the wall.

I would be in full support of that move.

Ryan is either crying on Lalime's shoulder or he is having a temper tantrum and punching holes into the wall.

He had the whole team bound and gagged within five minutes after the game ended and started punching them in the face. Half of them are now unconscious. He's working on Roy at the moment.

Lalime is sitting in the corner with his arms around his knees, bawling and yelling, "Millsy, stop! Millsy! STOP IT! WHY, MILLSY! WHY!", only daring to peek at the carnage before him every few minutes.

Hahaha, I can see it. Seriously though, for such a laid back and down to earth guy, he is just downright scary when he's mad. Loves it.

The "Sabres" don't say a damn thing. Lindy will, I'm sure, as Jill alluded to, will do ALL of the talking. And by talking, I mean screaming and endlessly blowing his whistle.

Indeed. It's awesome to have a goalie that is so happy-go-lucky. You know, he's really down to earth and stoic and serious and intelligent, but there's always that smile.

UNTIL YOU PISS HIM OFF!!!!!

(Oh, yeah, he's still beating on Derek Roy at the moment. Patrick is beside himself, fearing for Roy's life.)

He needs to go all Herb Brooks beatdown on them with that whistle of his.

Did you how red his face was after he shish kabobbed Staal's balls??? HA! I love it when he gets mad! Shows some spirit! I laughed about the punching holes in the walls thing Caroline! I say good for him! Someone has to get pissed off! No one else seemed to be!

AND what happened to Rivet and his ass beating skills?

Caroline said...

Haha yeah I saw him, and then the ref had to have a long talk with him. He is the fiesty one.

Yeah, Rivet impressed me so much in the preseason when he'd throw punches at players who got too close to our goalie. But now, it's back to Miller getting all batshit crazy and defending himself.

I don't say anything - I ask he same question I've been asking since the end of the first on Friday night 'HAVE WE LEARNED NOTHING?'

This team better fucking get with it because this is unacceptable.
